Wedding card with colour theme

This wedding card was made for a friends wedding where they had a colour theme of white, gold and light blue. I tried to match them in the card. I used my spellbinders and also the words are from a Brittania set.

Craft Class - lesson 3 - Ways with Washi

This is the plan for the third session. It is to try out ways to use washi tape. Everyone will get a roll to take home too. I've tried out a few ideas myself and we will see if anyone else has some other ideas. I didn't have many to use to play with but I hope this gives the idea of what you can do.

Craft class - lesson 2

I thought for the second session we might get messy! The plan is that we will do some creation of backgrounds, mainly using distress inks. I've done some samples of what you can do and also made up some cards to show what you can do with them. This lesson won't be until 24th June so will let you know how it goes down.

Craft Class starting - lesson 1

Well, I'm very excited as I have finally decided to take the plunge and set up a craft group at my local community centre. I have been thinking about it seriously for about a year so it's taken me a while. I'm calling it a class and a lesson but it's more of a mutual sharing opportunity I would say. The plan for the first lesson is about using design sketches. I hope to give all the participants the same crafting set and a set of designs to work to. The photos are of my attempt using a freebie set from a magazine but this won't be the one the class will have although I'm really pleased with the results. I was going to print some papers and toppers off but I'm having trouble finding something suitable from my stash. Will let you know how it goes - it isn't until 18th June.

Order of Service commission

This was a nice surprise. I made an engagement card a little while ago (on an earlier post) which was for someone to give to a cousin and his intended. She then rang me to tell me that she loved the image and wanted it on the order of service as the invitations had already gone out. She only wanted 40 so managed to get them done quite quickly which was good as I didn't have long to do them in. She seemed really pleased with them.

Black and White Father's Day

I just wanted to make a quite simple card. I combined the Papermania Capsule collection of black and white papers with their freebie stamp that came with a recent Docrafts magazine. I wanted to make it more 'zentangle' than I did but that didn't really happen. I may try this again with a bit more zentangle work.

Brother Scanncut Vest Top and Shirt for Father's Day

I am still loving my Brother machine and so pleased that the online software allows me to make use of images and other cutting files. I bought a cutting file from myscrapchick.com which contained several different male outfits. This is just one of them and I had a lot of fun picking the different colour combinations. On the downside, I managed to cut through my mat cutting these out. It's not the end of the world (or the mat!) but was a but annoying as it was my mistake that caused it. I have shown you the outfits and then the finished cards. I will probably make a few more of these so watch this space...
